We're going to host an OPEN HOUSE on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 to encourage members of the Needlearts group to join NHQG. All members of Niagara Heritage are invited to attend, a workshop led by Lolly Challice will be held from 9:30 to 3:30 and will feature the folding thread catchers on the left.

Our program for that day will include the thread catcher on the left. If you didn't get a chance to sign up at our last meeting and would like to participate, click here to send an email to our workshop people. There is no charge.

Here's what's coming for 2017-2018

Wednesday, September 20, 2017: An Open house will be offered to all members to give them an opportunity to see some of the things available in the world of hand embroidery. This will also encourage members of the needlearts group to join our guild. This will run from 9:30 - 3:30. Bring your lunch and your enthusiasm.

Thursday, October 19, 2017: Our own member, Fran Inglis, will offer a workshop on "Back to Basics".

Thursday, November 16, 2017: Our guest speaker, Sandy Simmelink,  will offer a workshop on "Pond Flowers Wallhanging". Kit cost will be $15.00, attendance is limited so sign  up early.

Thursday, February 22, 2018: Our own member, Irma Bull, will offer a workshop called "Liberate Your Creative Spirit". Kit cost is $12.00 and attendance is limited so sign up early.

Thursday, March 22, 2018: Gail Berry Graham will offer a workshop entilted "Free Motion on Your Domestic"

Thursday, April 19, 2018: Joni Newman will offer a workshop called "Stained Glass Quilting.

Workshops 2017-2018
To sign up early for a workshop, contact the Workshop Chair at workshops@nhqg.ca. This places your name on the list. When payment is made, there will be confirmation of placement in the workshop. For your information - here's a checklist of supplies that you should bring to the workshop

All Thursday workshops will be 9:00 am- 4:00 pm and held at First Grantham United Church. Please note that First Grantham is a "NUT-free" environment.

All Wednesday workshops will be held at the Merritton Community Centre, 7 Park Avenue, St. Catharines - 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Fees vary for workshops and some workshops require the purchase of a "kit". Check at the workshop desk for any additional costs.

Our Guild is now Scent Free. We have some members who suffer greatly from chemical sensitivities, please try and remember to avoid wearing any scents when attending our meetings. This also applies to workshops.
